Fluree is looking to build out its Sales and Marketing team. The Pre Sales Engineer role will be joining an expanding team of experienced and innovative sales professionals. They will guide prospects through their decision process and help frame an architecture leveraging Fluree’s data platform.

  • Become a key participant in the Sales engagement process by leading the technical relationship with prospective Clients
  • Qualify and quantify revenue opportunities with the Sales Director/Team
  • Understand and unearth Client’s technical challenges through Sales discovery meetings
  • Drive engagements with prospective Clients by becoming a trusted technical advisor and owning the customer’s success during the presales period
  • Articulate and apply Fluree’s technical differentiation, integration points with existing customer technical ecosystem/workflows, and the technical value proposition
  • Conduct and coordinate Fluree demonstrations, Proofs-of-Concept (POC), and evaluations that clearly demonstrate the business value articulated in the usage scenarios to prove that Fluree delivers the needed value and ROI better than our competitors
  • Be the voice of the Client by continuously collaborating with cross-functional teams in Product, Development, and Marketing to communicate Client priorities
  • Become a recognized voice of the company and thought leader in the industry (spokesperson at live/virtual events/tradeshows, meetups, active in communities/blogging)

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong natural and intellectual curiosity, especially in the field of modern data architecture and management
  • Strong understanding of the concepts and architectures of Data Integration, Data Storage, Data Classifications, Metadata Modeling and Master Data Management
  • Experience with at least one cloud data storage and services provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Previous work in technical pre-sales, consulting in a fast paced environment, or comparable professional experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and comfortable talking to all levels of customer teams, from individual contributors to C-level executives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with semantic and linked-data standards (e.g. RDF, JSON-LD)
  • Experience with JavaScript development (NodeJS and frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue)
  • Strong understanding of database query languages (e.g. SQL, SPARQL), with specific preference for experience with graph query syntaxes
  • Some additional back-end language experience is desirable (e.g. Java, Go, Rust, Clojure)
  • Experience with development environments and tooling (e.g. Git, CI/CI, Docker)
  • Previous or current DOD credentials and/or minimal DOD clearance
